Idea behind this:
Bibla was my mother’s calling name, by her siblings and parents. She retired as a Associate Professor with a Phd, MPhil and 2 MAs. Beyond this, she was an exceptional designer and an embroiderer. At the time of her marriage in 1964, her entire trousseau, including her dresses, bedsheets, cushions covers, dollies etc were created by her own hands. My daughter always said she wore designer clothes designed and sometimes sewed by Nani.
She loved wearing desi flowers, freshly picked, in her ears. So these earings are an attempt to pay tribute to my exceptionally artsy mother, to whom I owe all my creative skills.
Also, Gold and silver are beyond reach and risky to wear. Leave them for investments. Jewelry should be an elegant statement piece that is risk free and affordable. Period.
