Polar Bear Habitat- All is Not Well
Summer in the Arctic: The Arctic is warming faster than anywhere else on the planet, and as a result, sea ice in the Arctic Ocean is decreasing. Sea ice loss has far-reaching effects on the planet because the ice helps regulate Earth’s climate, influences global weather patterns, and affects ocean circulations.
This may look a cute painting and Polar bear family may be having a great time swimming in the summers, but excessive melting snow in the North Pole is snatching the Polar bears, and other snow dependent animals of their habitat and food sources.
As a result we have seen pictures or videos of Polar bears walking into human settlements in search of food, peeping into the trash bins sadly and even that scary picture on internet showing an emaciated Polar bear. This is all a very tragic consequence of climate change.
The heat spells we are currently facing, and the forest fires are all related to ocean currents and Polar ice melts.
Can we save the planet now from further damage? I doubt very much.
